The MELSEC iQ-F Series control platform coupled with the MR-J5 or MR-JET servo drive is designed to deliver premium performance at an affordable price. The TSN motion modules (FX5-80SSC-G/FX5-40SSC-G) are capable of coordinated motion over the 1 Gbps TSN network giving it best in class performance.

The iQ-F’s built-in ethernet port provides IE Field Basic networking to IO modules, VFDs, Robots and Servo Drives. In this “IO-Mode”, the PLC can communicate with the servo drive to command a torque or make moves via a point table. This simplified mode is commonly all that is required for many machines. Since the base PLC CPU has IE Field Basic it makes for a very economical system.
