In this tutorial, you’re going to learn how to set the IP address on a Mitsubishi Electric E800 Inverter without the primary power. Mitsubishi Electric’s E800 Inverter has Power-Free parameter setting capability. The E800’s control board pulls power from the PC USB port and allows parameters to be written from the FR-Configurator2 software.
The USB port is located on the front of the unit so the drive doesn’t need to be disassembled for this process! This port can also be used to download or monitor while the primary power is on AND it’s a true USB port so a serial converter (Anaconda) isn’t required.
The Dual Ethernet ports come standard and this IP address is accessible from both ports. (Think of it as a two port switch)
