Did you know you can use RT Toolbox3 Simulator to calculate cycle times? The Mitsubishi robot programming software, RT Toolbox3, is equipped with a feature called Simulator. Simulator is often used when an actual robot is unavailable. This software allows you to visualize the robot’s movements, force IO, and test programs without having a physical robot. In addition, you can collect Axis Load Level data and Tact Time/Cycle Time information.
- With a project open, change the operation mode to Simulator.
- Expand “Simulation” and “Program” in the Workspace tree.
- Right-click the program name you want to calculate the Tact Time for.
- Select “Tact Time Calculation…”
The Tact Time Calculation result window displays the calculated data from each cycle where the Tact Time calculation is active. Axis Load Levels for each joint are also displayed.
It is also possible to calculate the Tact Time of only a few select programs line. To do so, highlight specific program lines to include in the test. Select Tool à Run Calculation to initiate the test.
